The IAEE Young Professionals group was created to fill an important niche in the exhibitions and events community. The committee is responsible to identify a local charity and/or projects for the chapter to support throughout the year. In addition, the committee works with Marketing and Communications to promote the charity through the chapter communication channels (website, social media, etc.)
The Marketing & Communication Committee sets the vision for and manages the overall marketing strategy. The committee is responsible to contribute ideas, written articles or other sources of content for the chapter social media outlets including the chapter blog, website, etc.
The committee is responsible for implementation of a number of educational program for the chapter. The arrangement committee provides logistical support including site selection, coordinating food/beverage arrangements and onsite support.
The committee is responsible for helping plan our Chapter GMID event in conjunction with IAEE and other participating organizations. This includes attending planning meetings and reporting to the board.
The committee is responsible for planning and executing social/networking opportunities for the chapter. Past special events/networking events have included Night at Nats Park, Bowling, Karaoke and the Reception held at Expo Expo
The Membership Committee is responsible for determining the wants and expectations of our Chapter members and developing initiatives specifically designed to meet their needs.
The nominating committee is appointed by the chair and consist of at least three active members. The committee is responsible for developing and presenting a slate of qualified candidates to the chapter. No member of the nominating committee is to be nominated for office.
The committee is responsible for creating, implementing and maintaining the sponsorship program, which includes promotion and solicitation of sponsorship and advertising.
The committee is responsible for supporting and to elevate young professionals in the industry by providing focus on the needs of those who are at the beginning of their career paths and to provide a social and professional support network.
Volunteer Members of the Chapter will be expected to meet x times each year via teleconference. Conference calls will generally last 60 minutes each. In addition, members are encouraged to attend all IAEE Chapter events and other networking activities.
Teams within the committee may be established to address specific tasks. In this event, members of the task-specific team may be required to participate in additional teleconferences.
